Swimming Pool Donated for Wish List House Sunshine Coast

The total approximate value of the Wishlist House swimming pool is a whopping $35,000, and Pool Fab Swimming Pools & Aquatic Landscapes is the company behind the contribution.

Ian Bonney, owner of Pool Fab, said their generous donation would not have been possible without the help of a very loyal group of subcontractors and suppliers including Geo Consulting Engineers, Coastal Building Certifications, Ever Ready Bobcats, XL Pool Constructions, Coastal Landscape Supplies, Spa Electrics, Poolrite, Focus Products, Living Style Landscapes, Mad Pool Interiors, Maytronics and Clear Swim. “We have been working with this group of companies for a very long time and we owe a lot of credit to them,” he said. “Our product, service and after sales support could not be as good as it is without their contributions. The total value of the donation to Wishlist House is inclusive of the special MagnaPool filtration upgrade, 17 lineal meters of semi frameless glass fencing and 6 months of pool servicing.”

Mr Bonney said adding a simming pool to the wish list house will add considerable value to the overall project, as outdoor living is such a big part of our lifestyle on the Coast. “The areas we are creating are going to be fantastic for this,” he said. “The outdoor spaces of this home will increase the saleability of this project hugely.” With the economic downturn of late, Ian said Pool Fab has definitely been affected but that he believes it is more important to give when times are tough.  “It means more,” he said. “I am actually really impressed by the response from all our subcontractors as well. We are all doing it pretty tough – competition is fierce at the moment. Pool Fab is in a good position though as we have a very good reputation and get a large percentage of our business based on these referrals. We have this reputation because we care about our customers and our community.”

The digging of the pool commences onsite at Brightwater Friday the 2^nd of September with the pool shell set to be started on Saturday the 3rd. It will be an exciting milestone for the project with Wishlist House getting one step closer to being sale-ready and a real stand-out in the real estate market.

Dear Ian and Sue,
I am writing to congratulate you, your staff and your company with regard to the pool you have built for us.

Over the years, we have constructed three in-ground swimming pools and in the previous two cases, chose the cheaper of the quotes. We paid the price in the longer term. On this occasion, after receiving 4 quotes, we selected a pool builder based more on discussion with the customers and by way of reputation. We have been pleasantly surprised.

Your salesman came across as genuine and was more than happy to answer our multitude of questions. The construction process was quite an experience. The dig out on the first day was amazing to watch. The guys involved (truck driver, backhoe and bobcat operator) went out of their way to protect our property and were remarkable on the precision of their operation. On the next day, I jokingly asked the steel fixers to leave the pool as it was. The steel reinforcing was almost artistic and extremely well done; as were the guys who poured the concrete.

The pool coping was laid down exactly two weeks later and the final finishing off of the Pebblecrete, two weeks after that. Both teams did an outstanding job. We began filling our pool exactly one month after dig out.

I commend Pool Fab for your product and the manner in which you dealt with us through the difficult task of building our pool. Communication has been effective, clear and concise. You have a system in place that is first class and is above and beyond anything that I have experienced before. Well Done.
